Job Description

The Marketing team is looking for a talented Copywriter Intern whose passion for words and ideas is matched by an ability to craft impactful stories. The right candidate will be an enthusiastic problem solver who understands the powerful role that messaging can play in successfully building brand affinity and awareness. In this role you will have the opportunity to reach customers across a wide range of channels, including product and campaign landing pages, video, social media, and advertising. You will craft sharp messaging, develop narratives that inform and entice, write scripts, and create punchy headlines, while consistently expressing brand personality. You’re naturally inquisitive and work at the intersection of customer needs and business goals, blending both into winning campaigns that build the Insert Coin brand. 

Responsibilities

Your focus: 

  • Write, edit, and proofread content in line with the brand’s voice and vision
  • Collaborate with product, graphic design, and digital experts to develop concepts and content for marketing across every platform. 
  • Create compelling and impactful brand, product, and campaign messaging to tell stories about Insert Coin that inform and inspire customers. You’ll write web copy for campaign and product landing page, scripts for short and long-form video, and headlines for out of home, digital, social, and print advertising.
  • As a master storyteller, you’ll help the team connect the dots of the customer journey by understanding and championing how the story unfolds for customers as they discover our messaging across multiple touchpoints.
  • Partner with Marketing Manager and Creative Leads to develop content that translates strategies into creative execution that sharply hits business objectives.
  • Create and maintain scalable brand copy guidelines and boilerplate that inform and enable business partners to self-service copy whenever possible.
  • Translate campaign idea and creative direction into strong and catchy copywriting concept. 

Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in writing, communication, advertising, English, or related field
  • 2-3 years experience as a Copywriter (advertising agency background preferable)
  • A creative and strategic thinker with a talent to develop bold ideas
  • High attention to detail and a proven self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks. 
  • Strong communication skills with a sharp eye for editing/proofreading
  • Ability to sell concepts to senior stakeholders via storyboards and narratives. 
  • Ability to collaborate with a range of creative talent and business professionals. 
  • Able to quickly scope copy initiatives and proactively manage your time. 
  • Understand research and performance data, translating learnings into copy.
